Commissioner James Gordon is one of Batman's allies, the commissioner of the GCPD, and a playable character in all 4 LEGO Batman games.

Character Backstory[]

Prior to becoming a police offer, James Gordon served in the U.S. Marine Corps. After serving 15 years in the Chicago Police Department, Gordon was transferred to the GCPD and worked his way up the ladder to becoming a commissioner. Gordon found that Batman was his only ally in the corrupt, mob-ridden city.

In LEGO Batman: The Videogame[]

In the first LEGO Batman game, Commissioner Gordon serves as a secondary character in the story, alerting Batman to the breakout at Arkham Asylum using the bat-signal. He also serves as a boss character in the villains' mission A Surprise for the Commissioner. After beating the heroes' mission The Face-Off, Gordon can be unlocked for use in Free Play mode for 25,000 Stud Icon. Commissioner Gordon does not have any special abilities. Gordon has a grey male hairpiece, a head with glasses and a mustache. He wears a brown police coat and matching brown pants.

In LEGO Batman 2: DC Superheroes[]

In LEGO Batman 2, Commissioner Gordon once again appears in a few cutscenes, specifically after the breakout at Arkham Asylum. He is also a bonus character and can be unlocked for 125,000 Stud Icon after building his character door, located at the police station after earning 30 Gold Bricks. His appearance is similar to the first game except his legs are black and has a more realistic police badge.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham[]

Although Commissioner Gordon isn't in the base game, he is however a downloadable character in The Dark Knight trilogy DLC like The Scarecrow, Two-Face and Ra's al Ghul.

LEGO DC Super-Villains[]

In LEGO DC Super-Villains, Commissioner Gordon appears in cutscenes and can be unlocked and purchased as a playable character.
